We are excited to get back up to Mt Herman Road (CR 320) and dress it up. We try to hit the area at least once a year just to get the miscellaneous stuff that accumulates. At this time there are no major messes (that we know of), so it should be a nice leisurely day on the mountain.
MEETING LOCATIONS: Carpool/Caravan to cleanup site, ARRIVE EARLY
8:30am - Departs from the following locations:
Monument: Dirty Woman Park (17575 Mitchell Ave) in the main parking lot by the playing field.
Woodland Park: Woodland Park Middle School (600 E Kelley’s Rd) in the bus loop on the east side of the school on Rampart Range Rd.
STAGING & CLEANUP AREA – CR 320 (Mt Herman Rd), which takes off from CR 300 (Rampart Range Rd). We will caravan to 320B to break into groups and work our way along CR 320 in both directions. We will then meet back again at 320B for lunch
The road does NOT require 4WD, but is dirt and can be washboardy, so give yourself plenty of time to go an appropriate speed. We suggest caravaning and following others up that are familiar with the area.
Registration/SignIn & Safety Briefing: 9:00am
Lunch: PROVIDED, after the cleanup at about 11:30
BRING: Refillable water bottle, gloves, wear sunscreen, a coat, long pants & STURDY shoes/boots
PROVIDED: water, gloves (if needed), grabbers, trash bag
PRE-REGISTRATION is VERY helpful so that we can be sure to bring enough supplies & food for everyone, and you can let us know what size FREE TSHIRT you would like.
